Terms of Service

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using mypass, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Description of Service

mypass is a free, self-hosted password manager application. It encrypts your data on your device and syncs the encrypted data to a storage backend that you provide and control. The developer does not operate any servers or cloud services on your behalf.

Your Responsibilities

No Warranty

mypass is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the application will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of access to stored credentials, arising from the use or inability to use mypass.

Security

While mypass uses industry-standard cryptographic algorithms (XChaCha20-Poly1305, Argon2id), no software can guarantee absolute security. You use mypass at your own risk. The developer recommends not relying on mypass as your sole password manager.

Modifications

The developer reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

You may stop using mypass at any time by uninstalling the application. Your vault data in your cloud storage remains yours to keep or delete as you choose.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Canada.
